Pre-Marital Counseling

Often people think that just being in love is enough to keep their marriage.  It will take so much more. Couples can benefit from beginning with realistic expectations and gaining marital skills. It is ideal for couples to complete this program early in the engagement and before wedding planning begins. I have found that the expense and announcement of a wedding adds a pressure to ignore issues that should be worked through before saying "I do".   Pre-marital counseling gives the couple reassurance and the opportunity to assess their true readiness for marriage.  

My program includes eight modules covering myths and expectations, communication skills, financial management, intimacy and sex, handling conflict, and one concluding session for any "special" issue. Faith-based (Christian) emphasis may be included as an option.  Ask for details about the discount rate for pre-payment of the entire program when you make contact to request an appointment.   A brief program that meets the required 4-hour course is also available.
